Saturday's Zits

I always thought that the reason Jeremy wears the open flannel is because he hasn't been redesigned since the mid-90's when Zits was started, in much the same way Jughead wears a crown or Dagwood wears that strange bow-tie suit with one button. That was a lame fashion, one that I participated in, and I'm glad it's dead (please tell me it's dead).

But I'm going to have to rethink that hypothesis now that Walt is buying it. Jeremy could have made a comment about how his dad is ten years behind the times, but that would be admitting that Zits illustrator Jim Borgman hasn't been in touch with real teens since then.

Zits

I so thought that was Wanda, Jeremy's mom, there hitting on Hector, and Jeremy was having an Oedipal moment. That joke was hilarious. Then I figured out that that was supposed to be another girl who just looks like Wanda with a ponytail. I still think my joke is way funnier.

This is probably why I don't have my own comic strip.
