We now know that during Margo's little recovery party escapade to Eric Mills's, she didn't bother mentioning the fact that she left a party devoted to her roommate recovering from carbon monoxide poisoning that he was tangentially related to. Which means, of course, that Margo Magee is the best comics character. Ever.
Eric has to have some sense of what happened since he's bobbling his head in panel three as a result of a perfectly vague expression. I'm going to guess that Margo was unexpectedly happy during sex, and he knew that someone had to have died, or at least came close to it.
