Monday's Slylock Fox

Surprising bit of trivia - rat-on-bunny hate crime is a shockingly common problem in the animal kingdom. It probably started when the rats took over many of the rabbits' native lands, making them second-class citizens in what they considered their own home. Sure, the rats bred as fast as the rabbits, but the phrase "multiply like bunnies" was originally part of a larger call for eugenics of the lagomorphic race. As both groups migrated to the US in the late 1800's following a milled corn blight, an increase in cat-sponsored violence, and religious intolerance, the same power dynamic reproduced itself, all culminating here with Reeky Rat throwing a rock at Rachel Rabbit's window. Of course, rodent-on-lagomorph violence is just used by the nation's carnivores to justify all sorts of brutality on their traditional prey. Get yourself an education, Reeky!

On another note, when I read the solution, my first thought was Ooooohhhhhh, that's a roll of paper towels.

Indeed. I initially thought that the "paper towel roll" was a milk bottle. With a fuzzy left side.
