Just when you thought Rex couldn't get any more emotionally immature, he assumes that a man doesn't care that his father died because he confused a guy he didn't know who showed up with a sign with his name on it at the airport with the help, even though that guy didn't correct him.
Like, I think that we're below a 5-year-old's level of emotional empathy here. Dennis Mitchell even has a better sense of "appropriate".
